Fighting Average

A Documentary about one man's journey to rediscover himself through his love of Mixed Martial Arts. The film follows an average Canadian husband and father struggling with depression in his search for something beyond his boring life. Seven months of MMA training in preparation for his first amateur fight, forms the framework of the film and provides a glimpse into the world of amateur MMA in Canada. Additional interviews with fans, politicians, medical experts, promoters, coaches and fighters reflect the contrasting political and medical opinions surrounding MMA.
