Gezhi Town

Mou Dexian (Xiao Zhan), a machinist from the Jinling Machinery Factory, flees into the mountains with his family during wartime and settles in "Gezhi Town," where artillery officer Xiao Yan (Peng Yuchang) and a handful of abandoned soldiers have also taken refuge. There, Mou Dexian, his wife Xia Cheng (Zhou Yiran), his great-grandfather (Yang Xinming), and his young son briefly savor a peaceful, idyllic life, until a small Japanese reconnaissance unit led by Okawara (Yin Zheng) unexpectedly arrives. What ensues is a deadly confrontation as ordinary civilians harness ingenuity and courage to battle well-trained, heavily armed soldiers. Against overwhelming odds, can they safeguard the only home they have left?
