Baptiste, a gifted impersonator, struggles to earn a living from his craft. One day, he catches the attention of Pierre Chozène, a renowned yet reclusive novelist who's constantly bombarded with calls from his editor, daughter, and ex-wife. Desperate for peace to work on his most ambitious project, Pierre offers Baptiste a unique job: to act as his personal 'answering service' by impersonating him over the phone. As time goes on, Baptiste doesn't just mimic the writer -- he starts to flesh out the character!
