Halisa

Sarah, a 41-year-old nurse at the Children's Health Center in Halissa, a diverse and impoverished area of Haifa, longs to become a mother despite years of unsuccessful fertility treatments. At work, she cares for the baby of ANYA (18), who lives in dire conditions with SALAH while awaiting a visa to leave Israel. As Sarah grows deeply attached to Anya and her child, their bond strengthens. One day, a distraught Anya leaves her baby with Sarah, seemingly abandoning her. Though colleagues urge police involvement, Sarah searches for Anya, only to find her gone. Struggling with her choices, Sarah hides with the baby at Anton's home, where tough decisions loom. Eventually, Anya returns, and Sarah offers them shelter, hoping to face their challenges together.
