Rachel Loomis, daughter of the recently deceased Dr. Loomis comes home to discover her house has been broken into, her files rifled through and a profile on a woman named Keri Tate missing. Tate is in fact Laurie Strode, sister of the white-masked killer Michael Myers who went on a killing spree through Haddonfield after escaping a mental institution on the night of Halloween 1978 (events from H-1/H-2). Thought killed in a car crash, Laurie has in fact gone into the Witness Protection Program, has given birth to a son named John and is now the teacher at an all-girls high school. But life isn't all perfect for her as John hates her for divorcing his father, she's battling alcoholism and the fact that Halloween is tomorrow night. She begins seeing Myers at various places on campus and believes she's going crazy, that is until the following night at a 'Halloween' dance where several people begin falling victim to the pale-faced psychopath. With all access and communication cut off, Keri and the students are left to defend themselves from her brother who is out to murder both her and John and thereby killing everyone in his family - to finish the job that has taken Michael 20 years to complete.....
