Escaped convicts Jeremy Northam and Steve Zahn travel to the town of Happy, Texas, to dodge the heat. They conveniently slip into their new identities when they are taken for a gay couple whose purpose is to promote the town's kiddie beauty pageant. It's not long before the local bank and town dames bring out their true nature.
