A deaf backpacker is hunted through the depths of the Black Forest by something not human, with all his friends dead. His escape leads him to a cabin occupied by a farmer who speaks no English. Together, they must decide whether they are threats or allies while facing the creature outside, which will stop at nothing to destroy them.
