Holy Hell

In 1985, recent film school graduate Will Allen joined The Buddhafield, a Los Angeles area spiritual group, and, as its official videographer, began recording their activities centered on the mysterious leader they called Michel, or The Teacher. Over time, the group's dark side surfaced, with total devotion slowly turning into paranoia, until unexpected truths about their enlightened leader came to light, each moment unfolding in front of Allen's camera.
