I'm Charlie Walker tells the improbable story of the man behind the clean up of one of the biggest oil spills in US history. In 1971, two oil tankers collided beneath San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, spilling one million barrels of crude oil into the bay, threatening the town of Stinson Beach and much of the Bay Area's coastline. Walker (Mike Colter) is an ambitious young trucker tasked with cleaning up the spill. As his efforts to prevent environmental disaster unfold, Walker is forced to deal with institutional racism, oil company politics, corruption and greed to get the job done against all expectations.
With gorgeous period detail and a killer soundtrack, I'm Charlie Walker puts you right there with Walker -- and you'll be rooting for him all the way.
