There was no "master plan." In fact, there was no plan at all. Yet Chicago's pioneering record label Wax Trax! Records launched careers for a legion of bands (Ministry, Front 242, KMFDM, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, and many more) and ushered in a whole new genre of music known as 'industrial' before flaming out in epic style. At the core were founders Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher, two music-obsessed fans who just wanted to share their passion without compromise.
