On the eve of a large payment, residents of a collapsing collective farm confront desolation when they learn that Irimiás, a former co-worker they believed dead, is returning. In their struggling agricultural community, lost souls reeling from the collapse of their Communist utopia face an uncertain future until a charismatic stranger arrives, offering them hope of salvation as their individual experiences and fates unfold.
