Recently fired security guards Ivan (John Cusack) and Josh (Tim Robbins) are sure they have found their calling in the world of music videos. But in trying to resuscitate the career of a legendary soul duo, these creative losers begin careening through an outrageous underworld of chicken and waffles, Scandinavian synth bands, Menudo concerts, and a presidential candidate with a fairy princess fetish as they accidentally become big shots in the video music industry.
