For over fifty years, North-East fisherman Stan Rennie has worked the coastline where river meets sea, continuing a family trade that spans centuries. When a mysterious tide of poisoned crabs and lobsters washes ashore after a new post-Brexit development, Stan faces the ruin of his business and his declining health. As officials equivocate, he becomes the unlikely figurehead of a grassroots campaign to uncover the cause of the die-offs, meeting the fight with determination, heart and gallows humour. In a battle over the coastline's future, Stan and his community confront grief and discover their strength together.
