Les Glaneurs et la glaneuse

Travelling through France, Agnès Varda met and filmed gleaners,"garbage-pickers, scavengers and recyclers." By chance, choice or necessity, these people are in contact with the garbage and waste of others. It is a very surprising universe they live in, far from the gleaners of times gone by who collected the chaff and remains from the fields after the passing of harvest. But Agnès is also a gleaner herself and her documentary is subjective.
