Proud, perpetually angry and progressively inclined Hala is the village chief. A prostitute like her mother Mina, who was arrested when Hala was an infant and never seen again, Hala is about to preside over the ritual deflowering of her own young daughter. At the same time, she seeks a way to break the cycle that binds each generation of these women to sexual servitude. The sudden arrival of long-forgotten Mina, released from prison after almost 30 years, quickly changes everything.
