In this cartoon-colorfully black comedy set in 1960s Budapest, a lonely live in-nurse, Liza, spends her days cooped up, caring for the Japanese ambassador's wife. Her primary companion is the specter of a Japanese pop singer who cheerily haunts the house, singing his tunes and dancing around in a teal suit. But as Liza, desperate for romance, begins the search for the love of her life, the ghost goes into jealous fits of rage and murders her suitors one by one. With the police on her case, Liza comes to the conclusion that she is a fox-fairy -- a cursed creature from Japanese folklore who unwillingly causes lovers to drop dead. To break the curse, Liza must discover the selflessness of true love.
