Mimì metallurgico ferito nell'onore

A hardheaded Sicilian laborer refuses to support his local Mafia candidate in an election. His stubborn stance costs him his job, his wife, and his home, forcing him to leave his family in Sicily for factory work in Turin. There he starts an extramarital affair, falls in love with the radical Fiorella, and builds a new life as a reliable husband and father until his past returns with comical complexities and a see-it-to-believe-it encounter with a rather large woman.
