After years apart, Suzanne, living isolated in the forest, is shaken when her son Mathieu returns as a stranger. He insists on traveling to a hidden peat bog filled with memories of their past. Though she resists at first, she eventually joins him. Along the way, they rebuild a fragile connection, but it proves fleeting as Suzanne cannot prevent her son from embarking on his final journey despite her profound love.
