Set during the final stages of the Guinea-Bissau War of Independence in the mid-1970s, the story centers on Diminga (Bia Gomes), a dedicated wife who journeys to the battlefield to stand by her injured husband, a soldier in the conflict. As the war reaches its conclusion, the narrative shifts to Diminga's challenges in the aftermath, navigating a post-revolutionary bureaucracy that offers little support or recognition, highlighting the personal toll of societal upheaval and the struggle for dignity in a transformed nation.
