Mr. Nobody Against Putin

In the small Russian town of Karabash, Pavel "Pasha" Talankin cherishes his role as a dedicated teacher until Russia's invasion of Ukraine shatters the normalcy of his life. Disgusted by the government's propaganda infiltrating the school curriculum and the transformation of the institution into a military recruitment hub, Pasha subtly rebels in his classroom with playful acts of defiance. Beyond these small protests, he takes on a far graver mission as a whistleblower, covertly capturing the disturbing changes on film while posing as the school videographer. With immense personal risk, he sends the footage to filmmaker David Borenstein overseas, all while meticulously planning his own daring escape from an increasingly oppressive regime.
