Must Love Dogs

A 40-year-old divorcee (Diane Lane) throws herself back into the dating scene after a two-year 'dry spell.' When her sister writes a personal ad for her that includes the criteria 'must love dogs,' the divorcee has to borrow a canine to support her sister's exaggeration. What she doesn't know is, her prospective date (John Cusack) is doing the same thing, because he doesn't own a dog, either.
