Howard, a retired sailor and widower, resides in a coastal house. His grown daughter, Grace, arranges for a caregiver named Annie, an older woman. Initially isolated and obstinate, Howard rebuffs Annie's companionship. However, he gradually overcomes his reservations, allowing himself to embrace a final chance at love.
