Policarpo

At the end of the 19th century, calligrapher Policarpo De Tappetti works for Don César Pancarano de Rondó, seeking a promotion that never arrives. When Don César's son Jerónimo falls in love with Policarpo's daughter Celeste, Policarpo pushes the match to advance his career, while Don César resists due to their differing social positions. Celeste, however, falls in love with Mario Marquetti, a specialized mechanic (typist) giving lessons in the offices of businessman Franquinet.
