    Confederate soldier, Brett Sherwood, is en route to join Captain Quantrill's bandits. Along the way he rescues a man accused of a killing he had been responsible for. Things become complicated when the man's fiancée discovers the truth and Brett finds out Quantrill is not what he appears to be.
