Shalom

At the Biblical Zoo, beloved rhinoceros Shalom is cared for by Rushdi, a Palestinian Muslim, and Gilad, an Israeli Jew. After Shalom is injured, Rushdi argues for allowing him to die naturally, while Gilad favors euthanasia to end his suffering; Dr. Nili Avni delivers the final shots. As the Gaza War brings chaos, Rushdi travels to France to bring back Eno, a new rhino, while viewing the zoo as a vast prison that denies animals their freedom. Rushdi and Gilad then prepare to handle stubborn Tupac, undertaking the unusual task of brokering peace between two strong male rhinos in their cramped habitat.
