Southbound

An endless stretch of desert highway becomes the point of no return for five sets of unsuspecting travelers, each harboring a festering secret guilt. In the wrap-around first and fifth sequences, chillingly spectral angels of death float on the horizon just beyond a roadside diner. Three members of an all-girl band meet danger when accepting the kindness of strangers; a panicky 911 call reaches help in an unfamiliar realm; and a brother's search for his long-lost sister requires facing a suppressed family history.
