Testament

Set in the early 1990s, just before the outbreak of war in Bosnia, this story centers on Asad, a young man reeling from the shock of inheriting no property after his father's death. Searching for purpose, he becomes drawn into the gritty industrial world of Zenica and its notorious steel factory, Zeljezara, grappling with the harshness of working-class life while holding onto dreams of education and dignity, yet never fully escaping his rural roots. Beside him is his best friend Dzevad, a clever trickster whose small-time scams provide sharp, comedic commentary on a community torn between tradition and change, revealing the contradictions, hypocrisy, and vulnerability of an era on the brink of historical upheaval.
