Erzsi (Kati Kovács),, an orphan who has aged out of the system, is now a young woman working in a factory and living in social housing in the capital city of Budapest. Determined to discover her origins, she travels to the countryside -- a world away in terms of culture -- to reconnect with a woman named Erzsébet (Teri Horváth), whom she believes to be her birth mother. On her journey, Erzsi -- who has been taking care of herself for a long time and epitomizes the capable mentality of a modern woman -- encounters a string of men varying in age, all of whom have ideas about who she is or should be, but the protagonist must decide on her own.
