Father of a young man with Down Syndrome, Jean-François Martin, teacher at Cégep du Vieux Montreal and author of Together to the top: the incredible feat of six adults with trisomy 21, had the idea of accompanying six young adults with Down syndrome and six special education students to get to Machu Picchu and provide humanitarian aid to Peruvian families. Narrated by Jean-Marie Lapointe, who was also taking part in the project, the documentary by Marcotte Lisette has many moments of pure emotion. On the one hand, we are seduced by the majesty of the historic sites, and on the other hand, one can only bow to the courage, perseverance, and love of life of the participants. The result is a vibrant lesson in humanity.
