    Gator McKlusky (Burt Reynolds) is let out of an Arkansas jail to go undercover as a moonshine runner and bring down the crooked sheriff (Ned Beatty) who framed and killed his brother. Driven by revenge, Gator tears up the small town and country roads, soon discovering that corruption in America runs deeper than he ever dreamed.
