Amrum

Set on Amrum Island in the spring of 1945, the story unfolds during the waning days of World War II. A 12-year-old boy, Nanning, navigates the harsh realities of life by hunting seals in dangerous waters, fishing under the cover of night, and laboring on a nearby farm to support his struggling family. The island, with its stunning, windswept beauty, offers a semblance of refuge amidst the turmoil of war. Yet, as peace arrives, a hidden danger emerges, revealing that the true enemy lies much nearer than Nanning ever suspected.
