A former mountain rescuer is drawn into conflict when criminals lose their $100 million stash in a Rocky Mountains plane crash. Persuaded to rescue stranded hikers, he discovers they are violent robbers hunting their missing loot. With the woman he loves (Turner) and his best friend (Rooker), Gabe Walker (Stallone) braves icy peaks only to find the distress call is a trap set by terrorist Eric Qualen (Lithgow).
