Colette, a film professor who specializes in Hitchcock's movies, thinks her new neighbor across the way might have murdered his wife. Is it for real, or just her job messing with her head? Her husband François, who writes those old-school historical detective novels, is skeptical at first about Colette's fixation on this supposed crime. But he gets roped into the wild investigation anyway, and as the clues start piling up and the mystery deepens, this average couple turns into a crack team of sleuths. So, did a crime actually happen on the third floor?
