    Une chanteuse est forcée de rentrer dans un couvent pour échapper à la mafia. Elle est alors désignée pour s'occuper de la chorale dissonante qu'elle transforme en choeur de gospel entraînant. Mais lorsque le groupe reçoit de bonnes critiques, sa célébrité soudaine attire l'attention et la met en danger.
